Meet Mel

“I love people,

having deep meaningful conversations,

and having a laugh so hard my belly hurts and there are tears in my eyes.”

My life in the UK working as a secretary/PA has taught me many things, but the most important nuggets I’ve drawn from it are to stay passionate, work hard, and always play hard!  Things haven’t always been easy, but because I stick to this plan, even “Mel’s Mess-ups” have their own kind of purpose that have made me who I am today.  Speaking of messing up… I’ve gotten out of some impossible situations. As it turns out, it’s one of my super powers! Colleagues have said, “Melanie makes the impossible, possible!”

Many say that living life to the fullest and being passionate are two things they find impossible in today’s world. I don’t buy it! I say, “Find what lights you up, and go do that thing!”

As long as I’m breathing, I will pamper myself!  It keeps me happy, stable, and full of love for humanity. Trust me, you wouldn’t want to meet an unpampered cranky Melanie. I highly recommend a little TLC! You know when you look at a woman and she is radiant? That’s because she puts her needs first.  Putting your needs first isn’t selfish, it’s the best thing you can ever do for yourself.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
